Three of our cottages - The Old Byre, Herdwick Fold and Swaledale Garth - have been converted from a grade ll listed barn adjoining our 17th century farmhouse.

Rigg Barn was converted from a detached barn in 1999. All four cottages have full central heating and have been furnished and equipped to a high standard, recognised by the award of 4 stars by the English Tourism Council.

We have a no smoking policy for all our cottages.

The Old Byre (sleeps 4)

  • Open plan living/dining room with fitted kitchen area including microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. 
  • Double and twin bedrooms. Bathroom with shower.

Herdwick Fold (sleeps 4)

Rigg Barn (sleeps 6)

  • Double, twin and bunk bedrooms. Bathroom with shower.

Our facilities:

  • New for July 2011 - all cottages have free Wifi connection
  • All the cottages have full central heating; Rigg Barn also has a wood burning stove.
  • All the cottages have a colour TV, DVD player and music centre.
  • There are shared (free) laundry facilities and a payphone
  • Cots and highchairs are available by prior arrangement.
  • We collect and purify (without the use of chemicals) our own private water supply.
  • All visitors have access to a one acre paddock with picnic benches, swings and barbecues.
  • Ample car parking.
  • No smoking in all cottages.
  • Sorry, but we do not accept pets.
